Overview of custom canvas printing
Bring your precious memories to life with our stunning photo canvas printing service. Printed canvas has a positive impact and preserves its message with brilliant colours. The canvas will make an eye-catching centre piece on the wall, enhancing your home, office or exhibition space.
Your artwork or photographs will be printed in high resolution full colour onto poly-cotton blend canvas material that has a subtle textured effect. The canvas material is then stretched and wrapped over a 38mm thick pine wooden frame, supplied ready to hang.
Due to the fragile nature of canvas frames, we recommend collecting from our office. If required we can also pack and courier deliver to anywhere within Edinburgh.
What resolution of photos or artwork is required?
Please send us the highest resolution photographs that you have for canvas printing. As a guide the artwork should be 300 dpi minimum at actual size that you want printed.
If you only have a low-res photos or artwork, we have software which can optimise low-res photos. Send them over and we will advise.

Canvas sizing & specifications
As standard we use the rectangular frame sizes below for stretching canvas onto. We can also produce many bespoke sizes of canvas frames depending on the supplied artwork. Standard sizes are:
- 8 x 12 inches ( roughly A4)
- 12 x 16 inches (roughly A3)
- 16 X 24 inches (roughly A2)
- 24 x 34 inches (roughly A1)
- 34 x 46 inches (roughly A0)
Some additional canvas frame size ideas:
- Panoramic canvas frames for those extra-long scenic photo shots that capture large landscapes.
- Squared shaped canvas frames – for social media photos which are usually squared, such as instagram
- One image split over multiple canvas frames – This style of modern contemporary canvas has become popular in recent years. Supply us the image and we will split it over a number of canvas frames.
White edges or optional mirrored edges of frame
Your canvas frame sides will be with white edges as standard (full image only on front of canvas).
We can also provide a mirroring service of your artwork. Mirrored edges mean that your full picture will be on the front of the canvas with a mirror effect of the image going around the sides of the frame. Please specify at time of ordering if you would like the edges of your canvas frame mirrored.
Turnaround times
As we do all our canvas printing onsite at our Edinburgh office, you can be assured of a quick turnaround. Our normal turnaround time for canvas printing is 3 days. If you need the canvas urgently, for example as a last-minute gift, try our express same day canvas printing service.
